St. Bonifacius, Minn. - Crown College Athletics has announced that Head Women's Soccer Coach
Katie Kandt has resigned.
After four seasons leading the program, she totaled a 27-43-11 record most recently leading her team to their third UMAC conference tournament finishing 6-4-2 in conference play in 2024. She totaled 20 UMAC All-Conference athletes and 9 NCCAA DII All-Americans over the four seasons.
This past year Coach Kandt was awarded UMAC Co-Coach of the Year and NCCAA Regional Coach of the Year. Kandt led the Polars women in 2023 to finish with 9 wins a program best in the NCAA-era (since 2008).
"Katie has done an amazing job elevating the women's soccer program here at Crown," Director of Athletics
Steve Tebbs said, "She poured her heart and soul into the program and the student-athletes she coached. We are extremely grateful for Katie and look forward to seeing what God has in store for her and her family."
A search for a new head women's soccer coach will begin immediately.
