Hall of Fame
Seth Brickley graduated from Crown College in 2009 as the most decorated runner in school history. Seth finished his distinguished running career as a three time NCCAA All-American, a four time UMAC All-Conference performer, a three time champion at the UMAC Track and Field Championships, and the career record holder in the 8K. Seth has continued his running career and earned the title of USA Track and Field Runner of the Year in Minnesota for 2014.
Brickley came to Crown College from nearby Mound-Westonka High School and credits the persistence of then head coach Andy Burton in getting him to Crown. Burton coached Seth for just one year before entering the mission field, but helped Seth attain his first All-Conference and All-American awards. That first year was a challenge as the runner transitioned from the high school 5K to the 8K distance at the college level.
Brickley blossomed as a runner under head coach Rick Peterson, winning two more NCCAA All-American awards and three more UMAC All-Conference awards. Seth even began running track as Crown fielded a club team, arriving at an indoor facility at 6am to train. That hard work paid off as Brickley won three events during his senior year and was named the Athlete of the Meet at the 2009 UMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Currently, Seth serves as the Lead Pastor of Eureka Baptist Church in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. He and his wife Brianna have been blessed with two children, Alethia and Isaiah. Seth credits his coaches, and professors at Crown, and specifically Andy Burton, Rick Peterson, and Dr. Bill Bedford with helping him to “Love the Lord more” and for preparing him for the leadership roles he holds today. He also says that the discipline that he established during his time as a student-athlete at Crown College has stuck with him to this day.
