Hall of Fame
Ruth Claassen grew up in the Congo and also in Minnesota. During her time at Crown, Ruth was a three sport athlete, competing in Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball. Ruth was named an all-confernce setter for the 1983 volleyball season and followed that up with an NBCAA All-American award in basketball during the same year.
Ruth received her BA in History from Crown College and then went on to get her MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. Currently, she works for Compassion International in Colorado Springs, CO as a senior IT Release Manager.
She thoroughly enjoyed her years at Crown and feels the highlight was being a part of the team to start a new church designed to create great environments where the un-churched would feel comfortable and be lead into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
