St. Michael, Minn. – The Polars men's golf team competed Tuesday afternoon at Fox Hollow Golf Club in the UNW Invite. The men finished in 11^th place, led by transfer Grant Bestland with a T-16^th place finish.
 
Bestland started hot with three birdies in the first four holes, finishing with a 34 (-2) on the front nine. He finished with a 42 on the back nine to shoot a four over 76 on the day. Freshman Dimitri Mesnickow finished with an 82 (+10) in back-to-back rounds to begin his Polars career. Steven Dimmel was two strokes back of Mesnickow with an 86 (+12), and Carter Miller stayed on that trend with an 86 (+14). Grant Oakland finished his round with a 93, including an Eagle on the par-5 eleventh hole.

The men's golf team will compete on Thursday, September 10 in Becker, MN at the UMAC Preview.
