Alexandria, Minn. - The Crown men's golf teams opened their 2026-27 season on Friday at the Alexandria Tech Dual, competing at Alexandria Golf Club. 

Junior transfer Steven Dimmel was Crown's top scorer, finishing with a 79 (+8) and placing sixth overall. Dimitri Mesnickow, Grant Bestland, and Carter Miller finished tenth, eleventh, and twelfth with consecutive scores of 82, 83, and 84 respectively. Angel Cottington completed the top five scorers for the Polars, finishing just two strokes back of Miller. Brayden Oakland and Aidan Olson also competed and showed young depth for the Polars as the freshman duo tied Cottington with an 86. Tristan Youngblood also competed on the day. 

The Polar men will play next at Fox Hollow Golf Club in St. Michael, MN in the UNW Invite on Tuesday, September 1.
