Box Score Minneapolis, MN — Crown women's soccer closed out the regular season on the road Saturday afternoon, dropping a hard-fought 2-1 match to North Central University.
The Rams struck first with an early goal in the 9th minute, putting the Polars in an early deficit. Crown answered in the 24th minute when Eva Starkey found the back of the net to even the match at 1-1. Brayli Reimer picked up the assist on the play, helping the Polars respond with a strong attacking moment midway through the first half.
North Central regained the lead just three minutes later, converting a penalty kick in the 27th minute. That score held the rest of the way as Crown continued to battle but could not find the equalizer.
Despite the result, the Polars now turn their attention to postseason play. After a week off, Crown will host the NCCAA Regional Tournament as the team begins its next chapter on its home field.
