Watertown, WI. — Crown women's soccer delivered an impressive offensive performance on Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 6-0 non-conference win over Maranatha Baptist on the road.
The Polars came out aggressive and wasted little time taking control of the match. Eva Starkey helped get Crown on the board in the first half, while Layla Kerr added another goal to give the Polars a 2-0 advantage. Alexia White and Hayden Pederson each recorded assists in the opening half as Crown carried strong momentum into the break.
After halftime, the Polars continued to press and never let up. Kerr found the back of the net again in the second half on another connection from Pederson, while Brayli Reimer and Anahi Mendez also joined the scoring to help Crown pull away for the dominant six-goal victory.
Crown controlled the action throughout the afternoon, piling up 42 total shots with 25 shots on goal. The relentless attack kept pressure on the Sabercats all match long and showcased one of the Polars' strongest offensive outings of the season.
The road win gives Crown a strong boost of momentum as the team turns its focus back to conference play. The Polars will return home on Wednesday at 7 p.m. to host the University of Northwestern on Senior Night.
