Northfield, Minn. - The Polars men's and women's Cross Country teams competed in a full field at the St. Olaf Invitational Saturday. The men took 13th, while the women took 9th.

Ella Dufault led the way for the Polars women with a time of 23:54.2 in the 6k, and David Tuttle for the Polars men with a time of 28:42.8 in the 8k.

Although a ninth place finish for the women, the field of schools included four ranked opponents, and the Polars finished as the highest UMAC team present. The men's field included two ranked teams, and the Polars men were competitive with the other UMAC teams as well. 

The men's and women's Cross Country teams run again on October 11 at the Kent Finanger Invite hosted by Luther College.
