St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Polars men's cross country team competed at the NCCAA North /Midwest regional meet on Friday. They claimed the Region and advance to the NCCAA National Championships by finishing with a score of 29 to edge out Spurgeon College (60) and Emmaus Bible College (82).
Freshman
David Tuttle led the charge for the Polars, placing second overall with a personal-best time of 28:15.1. Senior
Caden Swoboda followed closely in fourth (28:56.7), while freshman
William Nugent (30:03.3), freshman
Elijah Scott (30:19.0), and sophomore
Andrew Johnson (30:45.3) rounded out the scoring lineup.
Gabriel Filter and Even Gibson also raced.
Crown placed all five scorers inside the top 15 as they prepare for the UMAC Championship on Saturday, Nov. 1, followed by the NCCAA National Championships in Joplin, Missouri on Friday, Nov. 14.
