Winthrop, Minn. – The Polars Cross Country team took second place Saturday at the UMAC Championship led by freshman
David Tuttle who took fifth place overall.
David Tuttle led the charge for the Polars yet again finishing with a time of 27:31.7. Senior
Caden Swoboda also took a top ten finish with a time of 28:09.4. The other three Polars scorers finished 19-21, all within eight seconds of each other. It

Andrew Johnson and
William Nugent with a time of 29:10.5. Johnson was the next finisher at 29:18.4, and Nugent finished just .1 seconds behind him at 29:18.5. With one senior, one sophomore, and three freshmen leading the way, the Polars claimed a strong second-place finish in the conference. It was an exciting season and a sign of an even brighter future for the team.
Their season is not completely over yet as they will compete in the NCCAA National Championships in Joplin Missouri on Friday, November 14.
