Late Goal for Morris Leads to Polars Defeat

Box Score St. Bonifacius, MN - Morris scores late in second half to seal 1-0 victory over Crown women's soccer.

The night grew colder and the lights shone brighter as the women's soccer team took the field to face the Cougars, just as the men had earlier. Like the men's match, it was a low-scoring affair, with both defenses holding strong throughout the first half. Neither team could break through, and they entered the locker rooms deadlocked at 0–0.

The stalemate continued into the second half until a well-placed strike from 18 yards out ricocheted off the post and into the net. That lone goal proved to be the difference, as the Cougars came away with the victory.

Crown will continue its home stretch this Saturday against Bethany Lutheran.
