River Falls, WI - The Polars indoor track and field teams battled at the UWRF Winter Classic on Saturday.
For the Crown men, Alexander Burnham took 6th in the Shot Put with a throw of 13.85m. The Polars had a plethora of personal bests from Nate Tomlinson, Kaden Pullam, Eddie Hallowanger, Evan Gibson, David Tuttle, and Andrew Johnson.
Tomlinson, Tuttle, and Hallowanger all had top 15 finishes in their individual events. The Crown relay team of Caden Swoboda, Gabriel Filter, David Tuttle, and Casey Struthers finished 2nd in the 4x800m relay with a time of 8:32.87.
For the Polars women, Camille Ring broke her own school record once again in the 60m with a time of 8.11. She also took 2nd in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.46. The Polars relay ream of Grace Thompson, Ruby Kile, Ariana Klein, and Camille Ring set a new school record in the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:52.49.
The Crown women's relay team consisting of Mia Arroyo, Lindsey Morrison, Ella Dufault, and Ruth Brueckner set a new meet record in the 4x800m relay with a time of 9:44.48. Ella Dufault had a top 3 finish in the 3000m and Brueckner finished 4th in the 400m. Ring, Klein, Kile, Morrison, Arroyo, and Foster set personal bests. The Polars mixed relay team of Caden Swoboda, Casey Struthers, Ruth Brueckner, and Lindsey Morrison ran the 4x400m mixed relay with a time of 3:54.21.
The Polars Indoor Track and Field teams will next compete at the NCCAA DII National Championships in Cedarville, Ohio starting on Friday, February 13th.
