Northfield, MN – The Polars track and field teams competed at the Manitou Classic on Saturday.
For the Crown men, Nate Tomlinson set a school record in the 200m with a time of 22.76. Alexander Burnham took 4th in the shot put with a distance of 12.93m. and 8th in the hammer throw with a distance of 40.12m. The Polars relay team of Abel Krause, Casey Struthers, Caden Swoboda, and Evan Gibson took 3rd in the 4x400m relay. Swoboda and Struthers both set personal bests in the 400m. Ashton Hosler took 5th in the 400m hurdles event.
For the Crown women, Abbie Hough matched her school record for the Pole Vault with a mark of 2.45m. The Polars relay teams had a stellar performance with two new school records. Grace Thompson, Ari Klein, Olivia Stanley, and Camille Ring combined for a new 4x100m record time of 50.55. The relay team of Grace Thompson, Brayli Reimer, Ruth Brueckner, and Lindsey Morrison set a new school record in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:04.66.
Callie Dufault finished 2nd in the 3000m steeple and Brueckner took 3rd in the 800m. Camille Ring finished 2nd in the 100m hurdles and 3rd in the 100m. Reimer, Thompson, Morrison, and Hough all set personal bests on the day.
The Polars will next head to the Carleton Relays Saturday, April 18th.
