St. Bonifacius, MN – Polars unable to handle the Scots in the home opener.
It was a crisp evening on Wednesday as the Polars women's soccer team hosted Macalester College for their home opener. The Scots struck first, finding the back of the net in the 16th minute. Despite a solid defensive effort from the Polars, Macalester extended their lead just before halftime with a goal in the 44th minute by Erica Hamilton.
Hamilton wasted no time after the break, scoring again early in the second half to build on the Scots' momentum. Macalester continued to score, adding five more unanswered goals to close out the match.
Up next, the Polars hit the road alongside the men's team for a weekend trip to Iowa. They'll take on Faith Baptist on Friday, followed by a match against Coe College on Saturday.
