Mankato, MN - Women's soccer late push not enough to take down Vikings.
The final game of the evening featured a high-stakes UMAC match up between two playoff teams from last season. Bethany Lutheran opened the scoring early, finding the back of the net in the 12th minute. The Vikings then extended their lead with two more goals in the second half, appearing to take full control of the match. But the Polars weren't done yet. Aubrey Makela sparked a late surge with a goal in the 68th minute, cutting into the deficit. Despite the momentum shift, the comeback effort came up short, and the Polars fell 3–1.
Women's soccer will now get the weekend off before traveling to Minneapolis next Wednesday, October 1, to take on North Central University.
