River Falls, WI – The Crown women's soccer team opened their 2025 season on the road Friday night, falling to tough MIAC opponent, UW–River Falls.
The Falcons controlled possession throughout the match, keeping the Polars on the defensive from the first whistle. Despite the pressure, All-UMAC goalkeeper Rachel Fuller delivered a standout performance, recording 24 saves—just three short of the program's single-game record. The newly formed Polars lineup struggled to generate offense and were unable to register a shot on goal. They'll look to regroup and build momentum as the season progresses.
The Polars host Macalester College next at Old National Bank Stadium on Wednesday, September 3rd, with kickoff set for 7:15 p.m.
