Polars Drop Opening Matches to Start 2025 Season

St. Joseph, MN - The Crown College Polars opened their 2025 volleyball campaign with a pair of tough match ups on Friday.

In their season opener, the Polars faced a formidable Nebraska Wesleyan squad currently receiving votes in the national top 25 rankings. Freshman duo Delaney Boone and Jalyn Lee each tallied 3 kills, while Brooke Rummel and Brook Orazem split the setting duties with 5 assists apiece. Defensively, Ari Klein anchored the back row with 10 digs. Nebraska Wesleyan controlled the pace throughout and secured the 3–0 win.

Later in the day, the Polars took on Luther College in their second match. The freshman front row continued to impress, with Boone adding 5 more kills and Lee contributing 6 of her own. Kalah Worm stood out defensively, recording a team-high 16 digs. Despite their efforts, Crown dropped the match in another 3–0 result.

The Polars return to action tomorrow with two more tournament match ups: a 3 p.m. match against Concordia College (Minn.), followed by a 7 p.m. contest against host College of Saint Benedict.
