Polars Close Out CSB Volleyball Tournament

St. Joseph, MN – Polars Drop Final Two Matches to Close Out CSB Volleyball Tournament.

The Polars wrapped up their weekend at the CSB Volleyball Tournament with two tough losses, falling to Concordia College and host team Saint Benedict on Saturday in St. Joseph, MN.

Match 1: Concordia College 3, Polars 0
The Polars opened the day with a 4 p.m. match against the Cobbers. They came out strong in the first set, staying within striking distance at 8-9 before Concordia pulled away with a six-point run to seal the opening set. The second set followed a similar script. The Polars briefly took a 17-15 lead, but another late surge from the Cobbers, this time an eight-point run, shifted momentum firmly in Concordia's favor, who went on to win both the second and third sets.

Offensively, Kamille Massey and freshman Delaney Boone combined for 8 kills. Brooke Rummel directed the attack with 10 assists. On the defensive end, Ari Klein led the back row with 15 digs, and Kalah Worm added 10.

Match 2: Saint Benedict 3, Polars 0
In their tournament finale, the Polars faced host Saint Benedict. After falling behind early in the first two sets, the Polars found their rhythm in the third, keeping it close throughout. Despite the strong push, they came up just short, losing the final set 22-25.

Sophomore Madilyn Smith led the offense with 7 kills. Rummel and Brook Orazem shared setting duties, finishing with 7 assists each. Defensively, the Polars had three players in double figures for digs: Kiana Kendall (12), Kalah Worm (11), and Alyssa Heagney (10).
