A Pair of Freshmen Earn NCCAA Recognition

St. Bonifacius, MN - Two freshmen highlight end of the year honors.

At the end of the conference year, Polars Volleyball earned the Team Sportsmanship Award—the first time in program history the team has received this honor. Alyssa Heagney was also recognized individually with the All-UMAC Sportsmanship Award. Adding to the historic season, the NCCAA Regional Awards were announced, and two Polars were honored:

Delaney Boone – NCCAA First Team All-Region

In her first year, middle blocker Delaney Boone proved to be a constant challenge for opponents. She finished the season with 147 kills and 57 blocks, the best single-season defensive performance ever recorded by a Polar. Her four solo blocks against Bethany tied the program record for most in a match, securing her place in the record book yet again.

Brook Orazem – NCCAA Honorable Mention All-Region

Fellow first-year standout Brook Orazem was named NCCAA Honorable Mention All-Region. She led the team with 281 assists, averaging 4.53 assists per game, and was a key driver of the Polars' offensive rhythm throughout the season.
