Morris, Minn. – The Polars men's outdoor track and field team finished in 3rd place for the program's all-time best finish at the UMAC Outdoor Championships.
Andrew Deedon took 1st in the 1500m with a time of 4:01.77, 1st in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:08.48, and 2nd place in the 800m with a time of 1:58.40. Deedon also took 2nd in the 5000m run with a time of 15:48.85. Austin Carlson had a solid showing winning the 800m with a time of 1:58.24 and a 3rd place finish in the 1500m with a time of 4:02.09.
Steven Petkau won the triple jump with a distance of 13.68m and took 1st in the long jump with a distance of 6.52m. Amani Adams placed 3rd in the Javelin with a throw of 47.24m. Luke Klassen set a new school record with a mark of 3.02m in the pole vault.
Alexander Burnham placed 6th in the Discus Throw with a mark of 35.86m and 6th in the hammer throw with a mark of 39.82m for a school record.
The 4x800m relay team of Casey Struthers, Caden Swoboda, Austin Carlson, and Andrew Deedon won the event with a time of 8:30.00.
