St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Polars Indoor Track and Field teams competed at two events over the weekend, the NCCAA Indoor Championships and the Carleton Meet of the Hearts.
At the NCCAA Indoor Championships the Polars women won both the 4x800m relay and the Distance Medley Relay with times of 9:46.33 in the 4x800m relay and 12:40.98 in the DMR.

Ruth Brueckner,
Ella Dufault combined for both events setting a school record in the DMR.
Austin Carlson took 10
th in the 800m run. The Crown men took third in the Distance Medley Relay with a time of 10:33.14 with
Andrew Deedon,
Chandler Gray,
Caden Swoboda, and
Austin Carlson setting a school record for the Polars.
Alexander Burnham took 6
th in the Shot Put with a distance of 14.01m.
At the Meet of the Hearts
Olivia Stanley,
Gracelyn Foster,
Lily Bandy ran in the 200m, 400m, and the 3000m run.
Trinity Verrett competed in the high jump.
Karlee Wolff and
Eryka Kindervater competed in a few field events.
Steven Petkau competed in the triple jump and finished with a jump of 12.73m good for 4
th place.
Jude McVety placed 10
th in the 200m dash with a time of 25.44 and 9
th in the 55m dash with a time of 7.61.
The Polars next head to the UMAC Indoor Championships starting on Friday, February 28
th through Saturday, March 1
st at the Lydia Thering Fieldhouse in Superior, Wisconsin.
