Joplin, MO - Crown dominated the field to take home their second straight Division II NCCAA Championship.
Ella Dufault takes first place overall for her third straight Individual Championship in as many years as she has raced.
Crown scored a total of 25 points, nearly 50 less than the next closest team. After
Ella Dufaults winning time of 19:35.5 in the 5k race,
Ruth Brueckner took fourth place with a time of 20:55.5.
Mia Arroyo was just eight seconds behind her with a time of 21:03.7 and a fifth place finish.
Callie Dufault finished in seventh place at 21:21.6, and
Olivia Stanley finished in eighth with a time of 21:43.9. Freshman
Autumn Seiwert also finished in the top 10 with a time of 21:57.4, although her points didn't count. Crown took 6 of the top 10 spots in a truly dominating performance.
Gracelyn Foster and
Abbie Hough also raced for the Polar, both finishing in the top 25 themselves, which is still in the top half of the field.
The Polars wrap up another successful season under Head Coach
Grant DeWitt, who has already built an extremely competitive Track & Field and Cross Country program, both in the NCCAA and in the UMAC. The Women's team also did not have a single senior on the roster, setting themselves up for success in years to come.
