Volleyball Hosts the Yellowjackets

Box Score St. Bonifacius, MN - "Pink Out" crowd energizes Polars, but Superior holds strong.

It was "Pink Out" night for the Polar faithful, who packed the stands in support of Crown College women's volleyball as they took on the Superior Yellowjackets. The gym buzzed with energy as the match got underway, but the long road trip didn't seem to faze the Yellowjackets, who stormed out to a quick 9–3 lead in the opening set. Crown battled back to close the gap, but a late push from Superior sealed the first set in their favor. Set two saw a more balanced exchange, with both teams trading points until another late surge gave Superior a 2–0 match lead. Down but not out, the Polars showed their resilience in the third set. With the score at 8–6, Coach Blattner called a timely timeout. The reset sparked a run that flipped the momentum and carried Crown to a set three win, this much to the delight of the energized home crowd. Despite the swing in energy, the Yellowjackets regrouped and held off the surging Polars in the fourth and final set, clinching the match victory.

Crown now looks to bounce back quickly as they travel to Roseville for a conference match up against the University of Northwestern Eagles.
