St. Bonifaicus, MN - Polars volleyball celebrates senior day in dramatic fashion.
The final home match of each season is reserved to honor the seniors in the volleyball program, and this year's spotlight belonged to the lone senior, McKenzi Brewington. She received well-deserved applause for her dedication and commitment to Crown volleyball. The opening set set the tone for an exciting afternoon, with Crown edging out Martin Luther 27–25. The intensity carried into the second set, which extended past the 25-point mark before Martin Luther evened the match with a 26–24 win. Crown bounced back to take the third set 25–20, setting up a thrilling "win-or-go-home" fourth. The Knights narrowly claimed that one, 30–28, forcing a decisive fifth set. With everything on the line, the Polars regrouped, locked in, and dominated the final frame 15–6 to seal an emphatic victory and close out Senior Day on a high note.
Crown volleyball will wrap up their UMAC regular season on the road across the state border, taking on the Superior Yellowjackets.
