St. Bonifacius, Minn. - This Saturday the Polars continued conference play with a home matchup against Martin Luther. Crown came out strong with another conference win beating the Knights 4-0, this moved the Polars to 2-0-1 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play.
The Polars started the first half hot with a goal within the first three minutes of play.
Emma Domka drove one right past the goalie off the assist from
Ellie Schanbachers kick from the corner. Domka scored once again about midway through the half, burying a shot deep into the back of the net putting the Polars up 2-0. Crown held a majority of the possession time throughout the half.
The Polars again came out firing in the second half with
Lexi Shreve scoring before the first minute of play had even ended, Schanbacher was credited with the assist. Then in the 55th minute
Emma Domka added her third goal of the match off a penalty kick, the third hat trick of her college career. After Domka's goal, moving the score to 4-0, neither team put the ball into the net for the rest of the contest and Crown cruised to their second victory in conference play this season.
The Polars outshot the Knights 21-4, with the Polars taking eight more shots on goal than the Knights.
Rachel Fuller held it down between the posts with a clean sheet and two saves.
Crown Women's Soccer will continue conference play with another home stand. The Polars will next face off against Bethany Lutheran College on Wednesday, October 2nd.at 4:30pm.
