St. Bonifacius, Minn. - Crown College Athletics has announced that Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach
Amanda McDonald has resigned.
Coach McDonald revamped the Polars Tennis programs after a one-year hiatus where the Crown programs did not compete. The Polars women earned their first ever team victory this past season in a win over Brooklyn College during their spring break tournament in Orlando, Florida. McDonald will continue her role as the Director of Student Success at Crown.
"Amanda did an amazing job stepping in and resurrecting the tennis program here at Crown," Director of Athletics Steve Tebbs said, "She spearheaded tremendous growth within the program the last two years, not only on the court, but more importantly, in the day-to-day operations, while also leading Crown's student success program."
A search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
