Superior, Wis. – The men's tennis team faced the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Friday, falling 6-1.
The Polars trailed early after dropping all three doubles matches, allowing the Yellowjackets to secure the doubles point. Superior carried that momentum into singles play, winning five of the six matches to clinch the team victory.
Tyler Kretsinger earned the lone point for the Polars with a hard-fought comeback win, 2-6, 6-2, 10-8.
The Polars continue their season on Saturday, April 25, at home against Northwestern. They will wrap up the season with road matches against Buena Vista University and a second meeting with Northwestern.
