St. Bonifacius, Minn. - With several additions to their roster, Polars Volleyball aims for a competitive season under second year head coach, Celia Blattner.
The 2024 season will include 24 matches, 14 of which are Upper Midwest Athletic Conference matchups and the remaining 10 will be non-conference matchups against a variety of schools. Polars Volleyball will kick-off with two home matches on August 30 and 31, against Kuyper and Emmaus. Crown will open UMAC play with a home match against North Central. The following week Crown will co-host the Minneapolis Invite along with North Central, with six of the matches being held in the Athletic Center.
The Polars will then face two non-conference opponents, UW-Stout and Buena Vista, before continuing UMAC play. The conference follows a two games per week model with one weekday and one weekend contest and eahc team will see each other twice. After UMAC play begins the Polars will only face two more non-conference teams, both will be away games against Carleton and Maranatha in October. The regular season will wrap-up at home against Northwestern on November 9th.
The 2024 schedule also includes 4 reserve matches for the Polars. These include two away matches versus North Central on September 3, and Century on September 16. One home match against Buena Vista on September 20, and will conclude with a final away match against Inver Hills on October 2.
