Superior, WI - Polars women's soccer hit the road on Wednesday for the UMAC Semifinal with a spot in the UMAC Championship on the line and fell
The Yellowjackets struck first in the 7th minute when a shot was sent in for an own goal to give UW-Superior the 1-0 lead. After six shots on goal from UW-Superior the Polars got on the scoreboard with Emma Domka driving one in to tie things up at 1-1. With just two minutes remaining in the first half a free kick set piece provided the Yellowjackets with the go-ahead goal 2-1 going into the half.
Early in the second half in the 57th minute UW-Superior stretched their lead to 3-1. They scored once more and Crown fell by a score of 4-1. Goalkeeper Rachel Fuller tallied 10 saves in in the contest.
The Polars fall to 6-9-2 on the season and will next return home for the NCCAA Regional Tournament.
