St. Bonifacius, Minn. - Crown women's soccer battled against Faith Baptist in the semifinal of the NCCAA DII North Regional Tournament and earned a 4-1 win.
The match started slow for the Polars as the first 36 minutes were scoreless. The first goal of the evening didn't come until
Ashley Pierce drove one into the back of the net off the assist from
Emma Domka giving the Polars the 1-0 lead. The Polars scored again early in the second half after
Audri Sturgeon scored off a corner sent in by
Ella Hollander.
In the 54th minute of the match Faith Baptist answered back, scoring their first goal of the evening chipping into the Polars lead and making it a 2-1 game. The Polars were able to score again in the 63rd minute after a score from
Aubrey Makela stretched the Polars lead to 3-1. The scoring wasn't finished for the Polars,
Emma Domka scored in the 77th minute. Crown was able to hang on to the lead and won the match 4-1.
Rachel Fuller added four saves on the night.
The Polars will play Providence University College in the North Region Final tomorrow Wednesday, November 13th at 7pm.
