Brookings, SD - The Polars Indoor Track and Field teams traveled west on Saturday and competed in an indoor meet at South Dakota State.
For the Polars men,
Steven Petkau placed 4th in the triple jump with a distance of 12.63m. He also competed in the long jump placing 15th with a distance of 5.88m. Alexander Burnham finished the weight throw with a distance of 11.32m an also competed in the shot put.
Caden Swoboda and
Andrew Deedon both ran in the 800m run and placed 11th and 12th. Swoboda set the school record with a time of 2:02.87.
Ashton Hosler,
Jude Dunn,
Luke Klassen, and
Matthew VonEdeskuty all competed for the Crown men.
For the Polars women,
Camille Ring placed 12th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.90 seconds.
Ella Dufault ran in the 800m run and placed 7th with a time of 2:23.87 a new school record. She also placed 6th in the 3000m run with a time of 11:07.55.
Ruth Brueckner competed in the 400m dash and finished with a time of 1:05.23.
Gabby Fawcett competed in the shot put event and finished with a distance of 8.62m. She also competed in the weight throw.
Abbie Hough and
Kaleigh Jorgenson also competed for Crown.
The Polars will head to Duluth, Minnesota for the Lake Superior Challenge Saturday, February 3rd.
