Northfield, MN - The Polars Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field teams competed at the Ole Invite on Saturday and totaled 7 new school records.
For the Polars women
Camille Ring set a school record in the 60m dash with a time 8.31 seconds which was good for a 3rd place finish. Ring also finished 4th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.74 which was a new record, one that she previously held. She placed 7th in the 200m dash with a time of 27.96, another school record.
Freshman
Ella Dufault ran a time of 1:46.49 in the women's 600m for a 5th place finish. Dufault also competed in the 1000m run and set a school record with a time of 3:11.83 good for a 6th place finish.

Kaleigh Jorgenson,
Abbie Hough, and
Gabby Fawcett rounded out the Polars competitors for the women.
For the Polars men
Caden Swoboda finished in 10th in the men's 600m with a time of 1:29.91 surpassing the previous record by Josh Coleman by about 2 seconds. Swoboda also ran in the 1000m and placed 8th.
Steven Petkau was the lone Polars jumper and finished 2nd in the triple jump breaking his own school record with a jump of 13.35m. Petkau also finished 8th in the long jump. The Crown men including
Ashton Hosler,
Luke Klassen,
Andrew Deedon, and
Caden Swoboda set the school record for the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:44.02.
Jude Dunn,
Alex Buckheit, and Alexander Burnham competedd for the Crown men.
In total 7 school records were broken at the first indoor track and field meet this season. The Polars teams will head to their next meet at South Dakota State University next Saturday, January 27th.
