Polars Defeated by Rams at Home

Minneapolis, Minn. – The Polars traveled to North Central University on Saturday afternoon. Despite leading for most of the contest, Crown fell to the Rams, 69–58.

The Polars started hot, scoring 26 points in the first quarter and taking a 14-point lead into the second. North Central closed the gap slightly in the second quarter, with Crown holding an eight-point advantage at halftime. The Rams came out strong in the second half, outscoring the Polars in both the third and fourth quarters. North Central took the lead late in the third, but Crown continued to battle as the lead changed seven times in the second half alone. A 12–0 run to close the game allowed the Rams to pull away late, building an 11-point margin that was not indicative of how competitive the game was throughout.

Morgan Bednarek had a monster performance, finishing with 18 points, eight rebounds, and one steal as the game's leading scorer. Brayli Reimer also played a key role for the Polars, adding 16 points, five rebounds, and two steals. Sydney Cotten contributed an efficient nine points, while Kendall Bogley made an impact off the bench in just seven minutes, scoring six points, including a three-pointer, to lead Crown's bench scoring.

Coming off their most efficient shooting performance of the season against Morris, the Polars shot 37% from the field, while holding the Rams to just 31%.

Crown has three games remaining in the regular season, all at home, against Martin Luther, Superior, and Northwestern. The Polars will host Martin Luther on Wednesday, February 11, with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
