Polars Sweep North Central Behind Dominant Team Performance

Minneapolis, MN — Crown volleyball put together a commanding performance on Thursday night, traveling downtown Minneapolis and earning a 3-0 sweep over UMAC foe North Central University.

The Polars controlled the match from start to finish, taking the opening set 25-12 to quickly set the tone. Crown kept the pressure on in the second set with a 25-17 win before closing the night strong with a 25-14 victory in the third to complete the sweep.

Delaney Boone had a massive night at the net for the Polars, leading the attack with 10 kills while also adding 3 blocks. Her presence on both sides of the ball helped Crown dictate play and keep the Rams from finding consistent momentum. The night also featured a major milestone for Lauren Burnett, whose 3 service aces helped her claim the program's single-season record for aces.

Crown also saw strong distribution from its setters, as Kate Stevenson and Faith Sperl split the setting duties and finished with 12 assists apiece. Defensively, reliable libero Kaitlyn Drost anchored the back row with 12 digs, helping the Polars stay in control throughout the match.

The sweep improves Crown to 3-5 in UMAC play as the Polars continue to build momentum late in the conference season. Crown will have a quick turnaround, returning home to host the University of Northwestern on Friday at 1 p.m for Dig Pink Day.
