Superior, Wisc. - Polars Men's and Women's Golf teams compete in two day tournament in Superior, Wisconsin at Nemadji Golf Course over the weekend.
The men finished 12th, while the women finish in third. Between both teams, the Polars had three golfers in the top five:
Adam Thomas ties for third for the men, while
Shelby Cash finishes in fourth and
Kendall Clark takes first for the Women.
The Women were impressive yet again, taking third place in a competitive field.
Kendall Clark led the charge, winning the tournament and shooting a 78 and an 81 and finishing +15 for the entire weekend.
Shelby Cash was right on her heels, shooting an 81 on day one, followed by 86 on day two, which was good enough for fourth place.
Lexi Thomas finishes in 13th place, and
Ashley Larson cracks the top 25 in a deep field finishing 22nd. The Polars women golfers were rounded out by
Allie Johnson, who finished 29th.
On the men's side,
Adam Thomas shot an impressive 1 over for the weekend (72 and 73) and finishes in 3rd. Crown finished tied for 12th out of 13 teams, but there were some promising rounds mixed in through the weekend. The freshman duo of Lucas Jorgensen and
Carter Miller both show some consistency. Jorgensen was the teams 2nd best golfer, shooting and 88 and an 85 on days one a two respectively. Senior
Nathan Halseth had a solid day two with an 80 (+8). Sophomore
Grant Bennett finished third on the team.
Both teams compete this Thursday, September 11th at the UMAC Preview.
