Cedar Rapids, IA – The Polars capped off their weekend road swing with a 1-1 draw against Coe College on Saturday, finishing the Iowa trip unbeaten at 1-0-1.
Riding the momentum from their first win of the season the night before, Crown struck early in the match. In the 18th minute, Layla Kerr found the back of the net off a well-placed assist from Bailey Ursel. The celebration was short-lived, however, as Coe responded less than two minutes later to even the score at 1-1.
Despite constant pressure from Coe throughout the match, All-Conference goalkeeper Rachel Fuller stood strong in goal, recording 15 saves to preserve the draw and keep her team in the match.
Crown Women's Soccer will return home to close out non-conference play against St. Scholastica on Friday, September 12th at 7 PM.
