St. Bonifacius, MN – Polars earn another two wins as they close out the Minneapolis Invite.
After their first two matches resulted 3-0 sweeps, the Polars faced their toughest challenge yet against this weekend, Faith Baptist. The back-and-forth battle stretched to five sets, but Crown emerged victorious with a 3-2 win. Freshman middle hitters Jalyn Lee and Delaney Boone were key contributors, each racking up 12 kills in the hard-fought match. Setters Brooke Rummel and Brook Orazem shared play making duties, with Orazem dishing out 22 assists and Rummel adding 15. On defense, Ari Klein anchored the back row with a standout 30 digs, while Kiana Kendall added 24 of her own.
The Polars quickly turned around for their second match of the day against the Trinity Bible Lions. Crown took control early and secured a 3-1 victory. Lee and Boone once again led the offensive charge, repeating their 12-kill performances. Kendall also reached double digits with 11 kills. Orazem stayed hot at the setter position, recording 24 assists, and Alyssa Heagney stepped up defensively with a team-high 25 digs.
Crown now looks ahead to its third straight weekend tournament as they travel to Ankeny, Iowa for the Faith Volleyball Classic.
