Ankeny, IA - Polars drop first two matches at Faith Volleyball Classic.
Crown Volleyball traveled south to Iowa for the NCCAA volleyball tournament, taking on Faith Baptist and North Central University in a pair of great match ups. The Polars opened the day against a familiar non-conference opponent, Faith Baptist. Earlier this season, Crown had come out on top when the two teams met, but this time it was Faith who edged out the win. The first four sets were nail-biters, each decided by just three points or fewer. Faith ultimately outlasted the Polars in a hard-fought fifth set, taking the match 3–2. Next up for Crown was North Central University, a UMAC rival well-acquainted with the Polars' play style. Coming off a draining five-set match, the Polars put up a strong fight but fell to the Rams in four sets.
Crown will wrap up tournament play tomorrow with one final match up against Maranatha Baptist at 3 PM.
