St. Michael, Minn.- The Crown Men's and women's golf teams competed at the UNW Invite on Tuesday.
The men finished tied for sixth, while the women finish second and recorded the best round in team history at Fox Hollow Golf Club.
Adam Thomas led the way for the men, finishing tied for tenth place with a score of 75 (+4).
Ryan Kardell was just five shots behind with a nine over 80, followed by freshman
Lucas Jorgenson with a score of 83 (+12).
Nathan Halseth and
Carter Miller also golfed for the Polars, each shooting an 89.Â
The women's team had a historic day, breaking the school record for the lowest scoring round as a team with a score of 335 (+47). This was good enough for a comfortable second place finish. Seniors
Kendall Clark and
Lexi Thomas led the way, each shooting a 79 (+7). They tied for third place, only two strokes off the lead.
Shelby Cash also finished in the top ten shooting an 85 (+13).
Ashley Larson and
Allie Johnson both finished in the top twenty five, closing out the best round in team history.Â
Both Polars teams tee off again on Saturday at the Twin Ports Collegiate for a two day tournament at Namadji Golf Course in Superior, WI.Â
