Morris, Minn. – The Polars women's outdoor track and field team made history at the conference championship and secured their first ever UMAC Outdoor Championship on Saturday.
Camille Ring anchored the Polars in three events as she took 2nd in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.09, 2nd in the 100m with a time of 13.17, and 4th in the 200m with a time of 26.63.
Ella Dufault had a spectacular weekend on the track as she won the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:34.63, won the 5000m with a time of 18:48.21 a new meet record, and took 2nd in the 1500m with a time of 4:48.26. Dufault made a large impact on the scoring for the meet as she placed in a scoring position in both the 400m and the 800m.
Ruth Brueckner took 1st in the 800m with a time of 2:18.88, 2nd in the 400m with a time of 1:00.04 a new school record, 4th in the 1500m, and 6th in the 200m. Brayli Reimer scored in two events as she took 4th in the 100m hurdles and 2nd in the 400m hurdles. Mia Arroyo finished in a scoring position in the 800m and 1500m.
Abbie Hough took 5th in the pole vault with a school record mark of 2.45m. Lindsey Morrison took 5th in the 400m and the 800m.
The Polars 4x800m relay team of Olivia Stanley, Mia Arroyo, Lindsey Morrison, and Ruth Brueckner took 1st with a time of 10:13.99. The 4x400m relay team of Ruth Brueckner, Brayli Reimer, Camille Ring, and Lindsey Morrison closed out the weekend with a first-place finish to secure Crown's first ever UMAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
