St. Peter, Minn. – Polars track and field competed at the Drake Alternative on Saturday in their final meet before the UMAC Outdoor Championships and totaled 5 new school records.
The Polars men set a new school record in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:32.11.
Casey Struthers,
Chandler Gray,
Caden Swoboda, and
Andrew Deedon ran the event.
Austin Carlson took 3
rd in the 1500m run with a time of 4:02.19.
Amani Adams took 1
st place in the javelin throw with a distance of 44.38m.
Steven Petkau took 2
nd in the triple jump with a distance of 13.83m and 3
rd in the long jump with a distance of 6.25m.
For the Crown women
Ella Dufault broke her own school record in the 1500m run with a time of 4:47.77.
Olivia Stanley tied the school record in the high jump with a mark of 1.48m.
Abbie Hough broke her own school record in the pole vault with a mark of 2.35m. The 4x400m relay team of
Brayli Reimer,
Ruth Brueckner,
Ella Dufault, and
Lindsey Morrison set a new school record with a time of 4:07.48. Reimer also won the 400m hurdles.
The Polars track and field teams will next head to the UMAC Outdoor Championships at UM-Morris starting on Friday, May 2
