St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown College Baseball team was picked 3rd in the UMAC preseason coaches poll, as announced by the conference Thursday morning. Crown comes off a 2024 campaign in which the Polars finished 21-22 on the season and 14-7 in the UMAC.
Crown received 36 points from the coaches poll. As the No. 4 seed in the 2024 UMAC Tournament, the Polars came out on top in their first game over the Bethany Lutheran Vikings 2-1. Crown then fell in their second game 4-0 to the UW-Superior Yellowjackets. Crown fought off elimination, standing victorious over the University of Northwestern Eagles 12-2. On the final day of the tournament, the Polars defeated the Yellowjackets 9-7 and won the second game against them 8-6 to crown them UMAC Champions.
The 2025 UMAC Baseball Tournament will be held Thursday-Saturday, May 8-10 with Bethany Lutheran College hosting all tournament games at ISG Field. The championship is a four-team double-elimination tournament. The tournament champion will receive the conference's automatic qualifying bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship.
