Colt T. Sedbrook is in his second season as head coach of the Crown College baseball team in 2025. He was named to the position on July 1, 2023.
The Polars complied a conference record of 14-7 and an overall record of 21-22 under Sedbrook in 2024. Sedbrook guided seven players to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) postseason awards list, including pitchers Tristan Camp, Jacob Van Dam, alongside Tyler Bloom, Howie Hatton, Matt Shaugabay, Mason Brock and Ethan Habetler. Additionally, Sedbrook guided the Polars to a spot in the UMAC championship tournament for the fifth time in program history, while winning the UMAC championship tournament for the second time in program history.
Under Sedbrook’s tutelage, Crown has improved in slugging percentage and team earned run average.
Prior to his arrival at Crown, Sedbrook spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Colorado School of Mines (2019) and Colorado Christian University (2020-2021). During that time, the Orediggers had a record of 40-15, 27-9, while the Cougars had a record of 17-38, 12-28. Before joining the staff at Colorado School of Mines and Colorado Christian University, Sedbrook coached for three seasons at Boulder High School.

Sedbrook had a storied baseball playing career. He was drafted out of high school in 2004 by the Colorado Rockies organization, before attending Dixie State Community College. Following his time at Dixie State CC, he transferred to the University of Arizona. Sedbrook was drafted twice at the University of Arizona, (2007-Chicago Cubs, 2008-St. Louis Cardinals). Sedbrook also spent four seasons in the minor leagues with the St. Louis Cardinals organization, before embarking on his coaching career.

opportunity gives me a chance to grow as a man of faith and to fully develop as a baseball coach,” said Sedbrook.
A native of Broomfield, Colorado… Sedbrook graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder, earning a bachelor of arts in History-Secondary Education, as well as a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Colorado Christian University.
