New Ulm, MN - The Polars women's basketball team faced off with Martin Luther on Wednesday night and fell by a score of 72-56.
Crown got out to an early 6-3 lead after three baskets from
Brayli Reimer. The Knights evened the score at 8-8 to end the first quarter. A three from
Brekyn Hanson gave Crown the 11-10 lead but then Martin Luther pulled out to a commanding lead after a 28-11 point run resulting in the Knights out in front 38-22 at the half. The second half favored Martin Luther and Crown fell 72-56.
Raelin Green led the scoring with 12 points in the contest.
Isabelle Sager brought down 11 rebounds and
Sydney Cotten tallied 4 assists while playing all 40 minutes.Â
The Polars fall to 3-19 on the season and 2-9 in UMAC play with their next contest back at home this Saturday, February 15th at 4:45pm against Northland College.
