Brookings, SD – The Polars Indoor Track and Field teams competed at the SDSU Open over the weekend and broke 6 school records.
Ella Dufault set a school record in the 1 Mile Run with a time of 5:17.73 and in the 3000m run with a time of 10:33.06. Camille Ring took 11th in the 60m hurdles and 23rd in the 200m dash. Ruth Brueckner took 15th in the 3000m run and 20th in the 400m run. Lindsey Morrison, Mia Arroyo, Ruth Brueckner, and Ella Dufault combined to set the school record in the 4x800m relay with a time of 9:40.18.
For the Crown men Austin Carlson set a school record in the 800m with a time of 2:00.06. Alexander Burnham broke his own school record in the shot put with a distance of 14.40m. Steven Petkau took 8th in the triple jump and Andrew Deedon took 14th in the 1 Mile run. Caden Swoboda, Chandler Gray, Andrew Deedon, and Austin Carlson combined to set the school record in the 4x800m relay with a time of 8:18.37.
The Polars track and field teams next head to the Carleton Meet of Hearts on Saturday, February 8th starting at 11am.
