St. Bonifacius, MN - Polars volleyball kicks off Homecoming Saturday in dominate fashion with 3-0 vicotory.
The Crown College Athletic Center was electric Saturday as the Polars volleyball team kicked off Homecoming with a commanding 3-0 sweep. A packed house of passionate fans brought the energy, and the team responded with an equally spirited performance. The opening set was a tight battle, with both Crown and their opponents trading momentum in short bursts. In the end, Crown edged out a 25-23 win to set the tone. The second set followed suit, with the Polars maintaining composure in high-pressure moments to claim a 25-20 victory. The third set began with a quick surge from the Rams, but the Polars regrouped and took control, closing out the match in dominant fashion to seal the sweep. Alyssa Heagney led the offensive charge with 8 kills, while Brook Orazem had an all-around standout performance, recording 18 assists and 4 kills. Defensively, libero Kalah Worm was a force, covering the court with 15 digs.
Next up, the Polars hit the road to Iowa, where they'll face Buena Vista University on Friday at 5 p.m.
