St. Bonifacius, Minn. - The UMAC announced their postseason awards Tuesday afternoon and the Polars had two athletes named Honorable Mention,
Emmy Romportl and
Katie Vaughan.
Romportl hit .316 on the season totaled 36 hits and had an on base percentage of .376. She also appeared in 25 games in the pitcher's circle pitching 104 innings and totaling 56 strikeouts. Vaughan led the Polars in batting average at .368, totaled 22 runs, 42 hits, 20 RBI's and a slugging percentage of .544.Â
Both Polars held together the middle of the Polars lineup and will look to do the same next year.
