Superior, WI - Yellowjackets take two from the Polars to finish the UMAC season.
It was a cool and cloudy day in northern Minnesota as the Polars geared up to play their final UMAC series of the year.
Brooklyn Ocker entered the circle for the Polars and kept the red hot Superior offense at bay in the early innings. A 2-run homer in the 3rd inning created enough separation for Superior to seal the 0-9 victory. Two more freshmen threw for Crown in game two. Polars got on the board early and kept it close until Superior put up a big number in the 4th, leading to a 3-13 win.
Emmy Romportl added 2 more hits to her weekends total.
Maria Lilienthal and
Megan Cryer also had a pair of hits for the Polars offense.
Crown softball will finish their season in Watertown, Wisconsin against Maranatha Baptist on Thursday and Friday.
