Polars Women Earn 4th Place Finish at UMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships

Superior, WI - The Polars Women's Indoor Track and Field team competed at the UMAC Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday and finished in 4th place.

Camille Ring led the Polars women in a number of events. She earned a 1st place finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.39 seconds a new school record. Ring placed 2nd in the 60m dash with a time of 8.21, her qualifying time of 8.16 seconds beat her previous best. Ring also placed 2nd in the 200m run with a time of 27.15 seconds and 3rd in the long jump with a distance of 4.81 meters.

Ella Dufault won both the 800m run and 3000m run. She finished with a time of 2:23:00 in the 800m breaking her previous school record. Brayli Reimer finished with two 4th place finishes in the 60m hurdles and the 800m. Gabby Fawcett set a new school record in the shot put with a distance of 9.77m.

Dufault, Ring, Reimer, and Ruth Brueckner all ran in both the 4x400m Relay and the Distance Medley placing 1st in the Distance Medley and 2nd in the 4x400mRrelay. Both times of 13:13:40 in the Distance Medley and 4:23.85 in the 4x400m Relay are new school records. The Crown women totaled 96 team points and earned a 4th place finish.

The Indoor season comes to a close for the Polars and the Outdoor season begins as the next meet is set for March 23rd at the Vikings Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
