Polars Baseball Picked to Finish 3rd in UMAC Preseason Coaches Poll

St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown College Baseball team was picked 3rd in the UMAC preseason coaches poll as announced by the conference Tuesday morning. Crown comes off a 2023 campaign in which the Polars finished 22-20 on the season and 14-7 in the UMAC.

Crown received 33 points from the coaches poll. As the No. 3 seed in the 2023 UMAC Tournament, the Polars won their first game 15-3 over the Yellowjackets. Crown then fell in their second game 15-0 to the Bethany Lutheran Vikings. On the final day of the tournament, the Polars won 3-2 over the Yellowjackets but then fell 7-3 to the Vikings in the UMAC Championship.

The 2024 UMAC Baseball Tournament will be held Thursday-Saturday, May 9-11 at Reynolds Field on the University of Northwestern campus. The championship is a four-team double-elimination tournament. The tournament champion will receive the conference's automatic qualifying bid to the 2024 NCAA Baseball Championship.
